Had a lovely dinner on Friday evening. Warm welcome, great service and fantastic food. We shared duck bon bons and pork belly bites to start, both were very tasty. Pork belly main was huge and delicious, husband rated the full rack of ribs and said the meat fell off the bone. Shared a pud and left feeling very full and happy. Will definitely come back.

The meat in the carvery is ok but the veg, sat in huge servers goes cold very quickly. It then ends up soggy. The potatoes were very over seasoned with salt. I appreciate a carvery is a fine balance but it should not be at the expense of freshness and being hot. My wife ordered the fish and asked for fries instead of the larger chips. She got the chips. They weren’t hot either. I already had my dinner so she didn’t ask for a change as eating separately is not what you go out for a meal to do. I think also £4.30 for a large Diet Coke is really far beyond reasonable. That’s about £16 if you were buying a 2litre bottle in a supermarket. Quite the markup. On a positive note the staff are very nice. I just wished they’d got my wife’s order right!

A really nicely designed, dog friendly restaurant, with separate niches as well as defined indoor & covered outdoor eating areas. An interesting, well put together menu catering for all tastes & diets but predominantly meat eaters with their extensive Pork BBQ offerings, which is itself a reason to visit! Their Rusty meat platter including Scotch Egg, Ribs, Sausages & other items was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food!

Really good food and a nice setting, the burger was really tasty and I believe the menu has got better since the last visit, little bit on the pricey side but had a good experience

We decided to give it a try last minute on a Friday evening, just the four of us. Booking was straight forward and it wasn't over busy. Food was presented very nicely with a very healthy portion size. All of us enjoyed the food and finished with a desert and coffee. Cost came to around £50 per head, including all drinks but that was 3 courses. Would recommend a visit and staff were welcoming.
